Could anyone tell me what the RPM range would be for a 20 foot cuddy, Stratus, 1989 with the 350 chevy and omc out-drive? I'm looking at one to buy and he said he propped down to a 19 pitch alum and was getting about 45 to 50 mph and He thought it was at 4800 rpm. Does this sound right???? Thanks, Chris

That's about right, looking at my Cobra service manual the operating range of your engine is 4200-4600 WOT and 550-600 idle RPM in forward gear.

OK great, so this boat is in great shape, nice cuddy clean smooth engine exterior not much dock rash and he wants 4000 for it. Sound reasonable? I have always owned outboard working my up to this so This is a new adventure for me. It sits on a nice tandem axle trailer with newer tires and in good shape the only thing I seen I would have to do to it is re plywood the back of the bench seat. What do you think???? Your thoughts and advise is greatly appreciated.

4800 is only 200 rpm over. Bet when you get all your gear and people on board, the rpm will probably be around 4600.
