I am in the middle of a bassboat project.I have a 1971 Kinner Ski barge that I have gelcoated the outside,Sky Blue.Tore out the soft floor,Replaced the deck and replaced a couple of rotten stringers.Right now I am building the front deck.4' by 64".For my Minkota Edge 55 bow mount. It's got a hand tiller as I have 2 protetic legs.In a couple of weeks the decks should be done, front and rear.I have a 1988 50 hp Mercury with a tiller,Do you think the 50 will be large enough. My raceing days are over,Just a lot of fishing for me.Thanks Bruce

My fishing buddy has a prostetic leg, still freaks me out a little to open the rod locker and see a leg in there.

If you can deal with the tiller a 50 should do just fine.

I have a 16' aluminum v hull that is heavy and my 50 'rude will push it 30 mph, not gonna set my hair on fire but gets me where I am going.

Just make sure it is propped right.

That's what I figured.Just want everything right by me there in the rear of the boat.I've got a pedistal seat.one of them 3" piped ones to keep me from flipping backwards into the lake. Not very stable anymore.Do they have a switch I could put back there somewhere to work the trim. It's kinda hard to reach back on the side of the motor everytime to put it up and down.

You should be able to find a switch and rig something up, run into Radio shack and tell them what you need.

I am not sure of anything on the prop.Don't even know what kind of boat it came off of.Motor that is.What do you think I should be looking for.If I know that is what I will be looking for while getting the rest of this fish getter finished.
