I have a 115 hp evinrude, but do not know the year.
can it be obtained from the serial no.? #J0007618

OMCs went by model numbers. If you can post that we'll be able to tell. If that's the right serial number it must be an early one.

The motor was purchased in 1974 and the bill of sale only had the serial number on it: #Jooo7618. I don't know whether the 3 lower case o's are zeros or just a typo. The motor could have been the last years model 1973. I need to know to get the right work shop manual. Thanks.
