Every graphic I post on this site is created within PowerPoint. Since PowerPoint is a Presentation Graphics program it cannot save an individual graphic as a separate bitmap, gif or any other graphic format. I then use a very capable capture program called FullShot to capture just that image, save it as a bitmap and upload it to Photobucket.com. That program allows me to grab anything I see on a screen from an object as small as a period to the entire page and save that image in virtually any graphics format. The image you see is not editable as you see it but is editable in PowerPoint. It is made up of eight curves (two on each side) that were then grouped and copied three more times, and rotated as needed to form the four sides. I inserted a square inside the border and filled it black with no border. I grouped the four sides and used the line color (red) and line width (3pt) tools. Within PowerPoint one need only ungroup the image, grab the center point of each side and drag as much curve or as little curve as needed. It took about 2 minutes to create that piece.
