The model number on the core plug E175TRLCSA tells all

1980 model but see HERE for all the details

But sorry not the engine capacity. Unlikely to be as big as 234 but 149 very possibly

Re: Can you tell the year or model from this?

Is there a way or something i can look for to tell what displacement it is? The deal is this. I am looking to rebuild this engine because the crank broke smooth in two right below the flywheel. I had a guy tell me he had a crank and heads off of an 83 150hp crossflow 149cid if it would work. Any tips?

Both models seem to use the same crankshaft, part no. 0388306

But check for youself on the BRP parts website

See also the note about lapping the shaft taper to the flywheel!

It's just like your other thread about the same thing - yes, the cranks are the same. All recreational V6 crossflows used the same crank.

Sorry about the repeat. My mind has been going every which direction about this motor.

Thanks a lot for the help fellas, I really appreciate it. That link will be very helpful answering the many other questions I was probably going to post.
