Can't get sterndrive removed from bell housing

Have removed all bolts around housing & instead of falling in my lap, I can't get it to budge. How do you remove it?

You pulled the drive?

You removed the flywheel cover.

Thanks for your reply. OMC 3 litre Model#802 FTHRCRA Engine"J" Seraal# 793079. Removed all bolts, steering cables,shift cables,etc. it's loose but doesn't want to come apart? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

What year?

Did you remove the flywheel cover?

Did you remove the drive shaft?

What you have it hooked to a hoist?

It's unclear to me what you are trying to remove. I can't imagine what would just come apart by removing the bolts from the bell housing..

What exactly are you trying to remove? If it's the drive you don't do ANYTHING with the bell housing. If its the engine you also don't bother with it (usually), but you also need to address a LOT of other things like engine mounts, fuel lines etc.

I suspect you mean to remove your drive, and have removed the bolts from the GIMBAL housing but that's obviously not a bellhousing, which is INSIDE the boat.. I'm confused

I thought engine, from bell housing.

If it's a stringer ain't no bell housing outside the boat.

OMC 3 litre Model#802 FTHRCRA

He has an 84 stringer, in his model number, the 8 is supposed to be a 3.
The CR in the model number indicates the year.
OMC Year Code.

Was removing the stern-drive from the engine, but had overlooked 1 nut that was covered in rust. Makes me look like the "nut". Again I apologize for wasting everyones time. Don was right- the 8 was a 3
