merc motor paint

Have a merc 50 hp two stroke. Knocked a quarter size piece of paint off the top with a spinner bait. Anybody know what type of black touch up paint to use. Have been told that if the wrong type of paint is used the orginal will bubble up. Of course these same people did not know what type to use.

Any advice would be welcomed

A dealer will stock Phantom Black from Mercury and many stock it in Tempo touchup paint

Gee, I have been using gloss black enamel for 20 years.

The key thing is to use a zinc chromate primer on the bare aluminum.
