Old motors in Houston

My dad has asked me to help him clean out his garage. He is one who works on things (mechanical like motors, lawnmowers etc) for people for pennies and then it seems people give him things they no longer need or use in appreciation. He has two or four very old boat motors. It seems there are people on this site that restore old boats and could possibly use these motors but I do not know if it is worth the shipping or if I should put them on Craigslist here in Houston. I will take pictures of them and try to get info if anyone is interested. I know one is a "Goodyear" motor ? he knows the history behind some of them and I remember one or two of them being very clean. If nothing else I would like to find out the values.

Well, if you can wait until early November you could wag them down to Louis Rothermel's antique outboard motor meet, sponsored by the TX chapter of the Antique Outboard Motor Club, on Star Ave./Street. This site should have some info: www.txchapter.com
Or you could list them for sale in the free classifieds at the TX site or national AOMCI site: www.aomci.org
