1967 20hp johnson no forward?

hey guys,

last night i got all my wiring done,and two weeks ago got her tuned great.i tested nuetral,drive and reverse before i went out.everything was good..shut it down a few times to make sure it started back up ok and the last time i did so...no drive.it goes into reverse fine..goes into nuetral but when i put it in forward it goes back to reverse??

any suggestions? thank you!

check the shift linkage.
