Striped bass fishing has just about come to end. It has been hit or miss. Early mornings have seemed to be the best the last couple of weeks. Had a charter last Monday and we had only managed to board a lonely bluefish. And the lady was so excited she did not know what to do to reel it to the boat. Her son had to take over the rod. Hubby was not to excited that she caught and he didn't.

Seems to me women do make better fishermen or fisherpersons. I get kinda confused what to call our selves in this day and age.

Re: Fishing CAPE ANN

It's about time you guys sent them back towards home. :D

Right on schedule the first couple of big "lice" fish where caught at Point Lookout last week. The area is still infested with good size Bluefish so dragging for Stripers can be an expensive propostion when the Bluefish get into your spread.

In another 3 weeks and the Blues should be gone and the big Stripers should be here in earnest. There is more bait in the Bay than we've seen in quite sometime so hopefully we'll have a great fall/winter season this year.

Thanks for the 411 fly rod ! I've been hearing their moving through Plymouth area , with smaller groups in the canal . I'm hoping to be on the water SOON !:D I'm in good location to get Buzzards bay or Naragansett easily. I can get to a boat ramp (5 min from my boat storage)into the Taunton river -down to naragansett an I'm dying to try.:D Hey, Do you read "The Fisherman"?
