We need a photo to confirm what you have and give you the right info. Johnson did not make Sea Kings, which were made by several companies. The VWB serial number you posted indicates it is a Sea King made by West Bend, so it can't be a 46 model. West Bend made Sea Kings for awhile in the 60's. Model and serial number plus a photo will put on the right track so we can give you accurate answers/info.

That VWB model number is not a Johnson or even a Gale, Mark. I think it is a West Bend made engine.

Gale made them prior to West Bend, but your's is a West Bend. Gale was a division of OMC which also made Johnson and Evinrude. Your connector is probably similar to the Chrysler connectors of the mid sixties as Chrylser bought our West Bend. You can change the connector to any kind you wish, but the original connector should be available. It will be a single line tank and the tank will have a vent in the cap if it is the correct tank.

 Hey how did you end up with my motor?:D:):p

For real I have the same outboard sitting in my shed, never bothered getting a fuel line for it, I originally ran it off of an old presure tank.

That looks like an OMC tank. You could probably use it, but will have to custom make the fuel line. You will need an OMC connector on one end and whatever fits the motor on the other. Or, change the connector on the motor and use an OMC fuel line.

So is this a pressure tank? Can I just put a hose from the tank to the engine, or will I have to have a primer bulb?

it has to have a primer bulb. make sure the arrow is pointing toward the motor.

I originally ran it off of an old presure tank.

Sorry if I caused any confusion when I said the above, I only ran that motor on the pressure tank to see if it would run and how it would run. That pressure tank is not the type of tank for that old sea king.
