roller ball mouse and glass don't mix!!

Iv'e had the same mouse for years!! It's a ball mouse, has a big red ball as the pointer... Its junk now i think, i got it gunked up with glass or sonething?? I need to find a different one. Used to roll now it don't wanna move? wd40 it? Im in school for computers but this hasn't been covered?

Is it an optical mouse? Chances are if you pop it out and clean the ball it will be fine.

You could always try sticking it in the toiled like my daughter did to mine, lol. Then you get a new one.

either spend the 5 bucks or take the ball out. there is three tiny wheels in there....use rubbing alcahol to clean them...possibly your fingernails....scrape the gook off the rollers....and your back in action....winning video games again.

If you can't unstick the ball, install a transom and a model aircraft motor with RC capability...then you'll have a seaworthy (former) mouse.

If none of the above works, you can always do what my computer repair guy told me..."Run it through the dish washer. If that doesn't work, get up off the five bucks and buy a new one."

Umm... tip on something not to do? We all take pics of the progress and then head to the puter to post them on here. I messed up my mouse because I didn't wash my hands first.. So good idea is to get cleaned up before you go by the computer....

I'm really sorry about your prized mouse, but just go buy a new one already. THIS HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH BOATS and there is a forum on her for non-boat topics.
