tried to winterize, Dont know if i did, PLEASE HELP TONIGHT!!!!!

I have a 96 5.7, with a quicksilver front mounted closed cooling system. everyone i have talked to said that i need to drain the manifolds and the risers, and thats it. well i went to drain he manifolds, and that had antifreeze in it, and then the risers, they dont have drains. i pulled he hose off that runs from the exchanger to the risers and there was nothing in it, i pulled the plug out of the exchanger. so is there anything left to do??? the boat is out of the water on a trailer. please help, freezing is comming tonight.

If you had antifreeze in the manifolds, that probably means you have a FULL closed cooling system that includes the manifolds. But does not include the risers and extentions (if you have them)
You would also need to drain the RAW water out of the heat exchanger. The raw water is used to cool the antifreeze. Much like air cools the antifreeze in an automotive radiator. Only in a boat water is used due to lack of enough air flow.
You would also need to drain the power steering cooler and hoses.

Nothing more fun than waiting to till the last minute is there.

i pulled the plug out of the exchanger, and opened the hoses, and nothing was in either, anything wrong there or is that the way it should be.

Depends on how the hoses are routed. But, if you pulled them off and they are empty, then you are good to go. Did you pull the plugs out of the risers and/or extentions?

PS: This said without seeing or haveing any knowledge whatsoever with what you actually have in your boat. And all boats are different.

there are no plugs in the risers, or extensions
