I just bought a 1998 45 HP Johnson commercial series, i am planning on putting it on a 14' inflatable.

I have no idea what kind of prop to get. I am trying to order a prop online for this motor and i am lost, they range from 9" - 24" pitch propellers.

Any idea what do i need?

Thanks

12-1/4 x 15P or 11-3/4 x 17P cupped aluminum to start with. Should put the motor at 5500 - 5800 RPM with an average load. (Yes I know 5500 is the upper end of the band but the motor likes 5800).

As long as it has clearance and the splines match up it should.

Not an expert but my guess is that is intended for a larger gearcase.
Is it listed for your motor?

Check out this prop exchange group, where you can network with other boaters, and post what type of prop you have, and what type of prop you want. There is a list of props that people want to trade, or sell. Check it out at:

The Commercial Series has a Larger Gear case.

This is other option i have 13-1/2? 15 pitch, what would be better.

Please Help! I need to buy the prop soon! i want to go use my new boat for the first time but i don't know what prop to get.

Basicly i found two props for a really good price here at iboats.com

SOLAS RUBEX 3 Blade Aluminum Propeller

Pitch: 15?
Diameter: 13-1/2?

or

SOLAS RUBEX 3 Blade Aluminum Propeller

Pitch: 17?
Diameter: 13-3/10?

By the way this is for a 14 inflatable, waits about 300 lbs plus about 700 lbs for people and gear.

Based on the light load and what Silvertip has to say about that engine (he knows) I would suggest going with the 13 1/2 x 15 prop. Quick performance and not bogging down the engine is important.
