My dad has an old montgomery ward Seaking Outboard motor and would like to get the year and hp? Model #: 14kl082 or 14KL982 (hard to read) Ser # 3896

1941, Built by Karl Keikhaefer of Mercury fame. One of the earliest Mercury outboards after K.K. bought the Thor brand. Not sure of the horsepower, probably 2 or 2 1/2. Production of outboards got interrupted by WWII.

My dad has one of those old ward engines his is a clinton.Think ots a 70,s though.Old as dirt but runs like a champ
