every now and then i come across some different types of boating pics. i save some so i thought i would share some with you . anyone else have any ''different'' boating pics?

nope it is real, the motor died and would not restart. too close to the spill.

Did you take those pics TD? What were the causes (if you know)?

what a shame. only good thing is that all those boats were near a docking area so people could get off.

I cant believe they thought the best way to rescue people was a chopper. Too many things can go wrong with a chopper and I cant find an immediate need to get those people off. They could have waited a few more minutes to come up with a better idea.

Choppers should be used when you have to rescue someone quickly.

I once saw a chopper used to rescue a guy off his car in a flooded street. They should have lowered him a life vest and told him to swim out.

no i did not take them, it was a news story a while back, do not remember the cause. if you google "boat fire" you will come up with many pics.

here they are oops!, google "dropped yachts" and you will see other that were dropped. this is a $3 million toy. check the guys in the water that were on the boat.

i still cringe every time i see em

if the links work........this is the vector 280.......it is the oke mannerfelt stepped hull "bat boat" cruise at 80 mph.....top speed is over 100.

at 80 mph.....you can wear a base ball cap, and there is no wind in the cockpit

currently inder construction is a one off carbon fiber 32 footer that is estimated at over 132 mph......its purpose is to win races in europe

I've seen video of that yacht falling into the water. Should be easy enough to find on you tube for anyone who is interested.

i saw that some where else, and if i remember correctly they put a prop on it. yes the truck engine is powering it.
