I started painting VC performance bottom paint today (first coat) and forgot a step which is induction time. It says to let it set for around 30 minutes or so I let it set for maybe 5 minutes before shooting it, I did mix it pretty well, not sure what to do, does anyone know?

There is nothing you can do right now. Did it tack off? If not, wait. If it did, don't worry. The only problem may be that you will miss the window for subsequent coats, you may need to abrade and start again.

My understanding of induction time is to:
A. Let the mix get some time to start to set up a little
B. Make sure all of the bubbles from mixing have risen or whatever the term is.

I think you should be ok, you might try contacting Interlux for a concrete answer.

It was touch dry about 1 hr after I shot it, also It was completely dry when I checked it today , so I applied the second coat. I called Interlux before I shot it and he said that I should be ok since it took time to go all the way around the boat to include set up time and the small amount of time I gave it to sit around 5 minutes. All in all I hope it is ok, I would hate to take this stuff off and start over. Painting is not what takes so long, its the prep work as i am sure yall know.

Thanks just curious what do you mean by ablative and the second question is you mentioned comming off to quick, do you mean pealing? The guy I talked to at Interlux was not 100% but he said to just continue on with the next coat and said it should be ok. I need to learn to read instructions first :(

Ablative paints are generally soft, they are designed to wear off gradually so that marine growth does not get a foothold. The boat movement through the water is all it needs to be ablative, washing and scrubbing the boat will also do it.
