I broke the addiction but still backslide occasionally.

Is it just me or did you change your avator or is it messed up? Maybe it's the addiction working on me . By the way I noticed you aint been around much .

I boats has us in their grasp for now. But spring shall bring the release from this addiction ("exept on rainy days and boat breakdowns and when inlaws visit...void in Rhode island)

Seriously though the internet by itself as we all know can be addictive. I taught my (now) 64 year old father how to use a computer a few years back, he started going on to these free gaming websites, he plays it everyday. My mother isn't to far behind him. I make my rounds through craigslist, my email, and here most of the time. I also go to the bbc forum, which it is hard to compare to iboats, and it is sort of a getaway for me from here at times, but then I have both Iboats and bbc pulled up at the same time sometimes.

I believe it is the kind, family orientated, intelligent, and patient poeple that causes an immediate interest and for some of us "the addiction" of this website.

I believe that if somebody was to take the time and study this site that they would truely have more knowledge then a college graduate mastering in boat repair. This could be an online institution/college for boats.

I used to Drink, Smoke,+ Chase Women,........Excessively....

I Quit Drinkin' over 10 years ago,....
My Love captured me about 6 years ago,....
I do still smoke,+ am working on quitting,.....

But,.....
I Refuse to give up my Last Vice,....
It isn't causing Health issues,+ hurts No one....

Ayuh,.... I AM Addicted to iboats,.....
And,...
I Danm sure Ain't Quittin'...................

Not to long now i'll be loading the conversion van and driving to sunny Fl.

Than i'm going to enrich the pockets of Disney and Universal studious.

Than boston lobster feast is gonna lose money on me cause it's all you can eat Maine lobsters.

Than it's on to Delray beach to fix my mommy's brakes and whatever else is wrong with the car.

So you guy's are gonna get a long break from me. i know, i know you can hardly wait.

Better get up the count now, but the hotel says free high speed internet in the rooms, we shall see, can't miss my omc auctions, how else i'm gonna get parts for my out dated poorly designed POS.

I too have a severe addiction. It is one that I was able to kick for the past five years but lately the "Itch" has returned worse than ever!
My monkey is the feel of a tug on the end of my ugly stick and the peace and tranquility of my favorite fishing spot. My latest urge caused me to purchase my Sea Ark and Evenrude e tec. Now, I'm afraid the children will have to do without new shoes and the wife will do without my attention.
Thanks for the attempted intervention but I dont think it will work!

It just takes a higher strength and the knowledge of who you really are. You don't need to get your identity in a forum ... Know your strengths and limitations. Then you can have the self control to be in control, and not be controlled by any outside influence. Honest, LT, you can do it, I know you can. You just gotta believe!
