1970 MC 165 distributor advance cam springs?

Cleaned the distributor guts last night and found a fair amount of gummed up old oil/grease - advance was probably not working well. Everything cleaned up well, but the advance cam springs were rusty. These springs show up as a "no longer available" part from MC. Any ideas on automotive substitutes or aftermarket? I know advance springs are available as automotive aftermarket performance parts, but I really don't want to go down the recurving road. Thanks.

Are they rusty as in "cannot be re-used?" Or rusty as in "spray them with a light coat of oil and put them back in?"

As long as they haven't rusted to the point of breaking or weakening, I would simply reuse them. Otherwise... I'm not sure where to get replacements. Someone else will have to chime in on that.

Rusty as in "most likely still good." I just wanted to replace them as long as I had everything apart to be on the safe side.

If you can find a new set, then great, otherwise I would not hesitate to reuse the old. ;)
