I'm looking at several websites talking about Taco Marine P-10 Marine Lumber. Does anyone have any experience or detailed info on this product? I can't seem to find a picture of the white or more specifically the Seafoam color.

Also, I'm wondering how much heavier it is than 1/2" marine grade plywood. I'm looking at this product for the inside sides of my boat and maybe the dash.

If any of you folks know anything about this stuff or if you know of a link to some good photos-Help me out!

That's Marine Lumber, (correctly termed but misleading). West Marine has it but has now gone from selling it directly to a "Call Only" product. From what I understand it is good stuff for making things like cup holders, etc that are of one piece construction but it is not well suited for structural use. Something about bonding problems if I remember correctly.

Like SS said, good for small stuff, but it's heavy, weak, expensive and nothing sticks to it.

I realize it's probably not something I'd want to use on the deck or anywhere that's structural, but I thought it might work out OK here

It's currently constructed of 1/2" marine grade with vinyl covering and riveted to the side stringers.

I realize it may be a little on the heavy side but thought it the weight difference was small it would be worth looking into.

I just can't seem to find a sample of the seafoam green.

It doesn't come in many colors because there's too little demand for it, the other product listed would be better for this application. It's noramlly more than $100.00 per 4'X8' sheet and sometimes well over that, this keeps many people from using it for anything.

i would use exterior grade finished one side, paint it 3 coats of seafoam green, on all edges and side, and be done with it.
