I'm restoring my 83 Celebrity Cuddy. All of the wood looks pretty bad. I'm assuming it is teak, can anyone confirm from the pics?
I already started sanding some of the rails on the front. Two passes later it still has a lot of gray wood left. I'm worried to get into the swim deck as it has many more groves.
Any advice on the restore and what to put on to finish??
Thanks

I have an 89 Celebrity 224se bowrider. Yes that and all the other wood you can see on that boat is teak. They dont make them like that anymore.
use teak cleaner and brightner (west marine or i boats) and then finish with teak oil or if you want it to look like beautiful woodwork use Sikkens cetol marine finish. Will look brand new and last for years.
Hope to post pics of mine soon. How the rest of your boat?

Tash- I looked at the Snappy Teak-Nu Teak Cleaners & Kit it looks much easier than sanding the whole thing many times. I hope this will work, I wasn't looking forward to having to sand everything.
Paul - Its a complete restore. Engine is pulled now. And the floor and upholstery need replaced also. Just took off some of the side panels today that were rotting. There are a few pics of the motor in the Celebrity forum. I will try and get some more of the whole boat and interior.

If the platform itself is ok, you can bring it back real nice with the product tashasdaddy recommended you. I use it yearly outside and it's amazing how nice the wood gets.
