merc 85' 150hp trim fluid removal

i am trying to get all the 2cycle flushed from the trim unit. what is the best way of doing this, i can still hear some fluid inside??

secondly; once i refill with motor from locked up position ,when should you release the lock and start to bleeding system?
this is my 3rd try and still have bubbles in system so it almost works but then stops. Its like there is a large bubble in the middle of the system that wont leave.
motor/pump is new! THANKS D

Gerber, Normally PTT units use Automatic Trans fluid (ATF), not 2 cycle oil. Hopefully that is what you have in the unit. You should be able to smell the difference.

Normally you should fill the unit in the up position, replace the cap and run the motor up and down a few times, leaving it in the up posiiton for a few minutes to let the air bubble out. You may need to help the motor reach up position if the air is significant.
