just wondering if this is feasable? i have afew older 350's, from the 70's and early 80's, and was thinking of building one for my 89 chevy k1500. what problems am i going to see? I was planning on using the fuel injection and manifold from the 89, with headers and the tranny from the 89. will the older engine mate to the newertranny?

In 1986, the two piece rear seal was introduced so the flywheel changed. The question would be if the different flywheels had the same mounting so the torque converter would still attach.

Intake mounting....distributor.... plus it's height have to be able to shut your hood.....No O2 sensor to control fuel delivery....plus other sensors needed......easier to drop an older motor and trannie together in and run a wire to the ignition ,carbed with an electric pump

Yep, flywheels are different, but the torque converters will bolt up. Starter is different. And no, your 1989 intake will NOT bolt onto the 70's or early 80's heads.
