Marine Plywood Delamination

I just bought a 24 foot pontoon. It has 2 year old Marine PW for the deck. It was about 15 degrees when I looked at it, and the bottom of the deck looks brand new. I was from end to end and side to side and never saw or felt a weak spot. I walked the top and no soft spots anywhere on the boat.
The day I pulled it home it was 4 degrees and I hadnt gone 30 feet when I heard the distinct sound of wood popping. I towed it 200 miles, and when I got back on top of the boat, there was large (3' Diameter) spot where the wood had delamintated. What do you think may have happened? Can I just replace the bad piece all the way across? Any ideas will be appreciated.

Could have been the trailer and improper support. You seem to equate it with temperture. I'd look at how it sits on the trailer.

You could try drilling a few holes into the delam and shooting it with epoxy thinned or use git rot which is lower viscosity, then press it with some cinder blocks (use plastic sheet).

The wet and frozen wood did not respond to the cold weather.......

You might have to wait for good (non freezing) weather to establish what shat the rest of the deck is in.

I did a full re-deck on a 28' pontoon about 20 years ago for a friend in the midwest. A tremdous amount of work but was like brand new when we were done.

The boat sits on a 2006 LITE-NING Galvenized trailer with bunks, and it fits good.

moisture, freezing, vibration = delamination.
