I am adding a T8 kicker to my 2006 Jetcraft 1975XL. I have an extra outlet in my fuel tank that is 3/8 FPT I have been trying to locate a pickup tube that I can put in this outlet. It will need to be about 8 inches long with 3/8 pipe thread to screw into the tank, and a 90 degree elbow that goes to 5/16 hose barb for the kicker fuel line. Anyone know where I can locate a pickup tube? I checked with Moeller, they have them, but won't sell to private party. I have tried to order from their distributers, but they say that they can't do anything less than a $300 order. I'm stuck. Thanks

What about just running a barbed tee off the main engine's feed line?
If you want to make a pickup tube just take your 3/8 fitting and insert your length of copper tube 1/4 would probably fit snug into the fitting then solder it and your done, crew whatever you want to the other end.

Re: Fuel Pick up tube

I found one at riverside marine, MT. I got a stock model, because I wasn't sure about different metal and fuel issues. I know that copper will corrode when exposed to gas, over time. I am sure that stainless would be fine, I just didn't want to use a compression fitting and have it vibrate loose in my tank. Thanks for the input!

as an after note.
they sell the moeller unit here
it's a little hard to find as it's listed in the fuel line section
and not with the fittings

Nobody ever wants to shop iboats.

Prices are fair, shipping and customer service has been great, and the big one - they pay the bills for this forum.....

Ayuh,.... Exactly.....

I know that copper will corrode when exposed to gas, over time.

Since When,..??..??
Up until the 60s,.. Copper was the Prefered Metal for Fuel Lines in Boats.....

I've done as a70eliminator stated,... Many times...
