$27,000 truck for a #2 pike  I'm fishing in the wrong places.

The "winners" statement does sound kind of fishy though... If I had won a truck in a fishing contest I certainly would have submitted to any test they asked for, lie detector, pregnancy, stool sample,,, I didn't cheat so give me MY truck!

The guy raised the pike in an aquarium at his home, then smuggled it into the contest under his sweatshirt, kept it alive with bottled water. This guy gives all us Wisconsinites a bad name. I believe they are going to try to charge him with fraud!!!

"Under contest rules, the winner was offered the chance Sunday to take a lie detector test and refused, Montpetit said, and that meant the prize had to go to the runner-up, Monica Slimmer of La Crosse., who caught a northern pike weighing 1.72 pounds."

Heck, even I can catch a northern that weighs more then that!! Must have been a newborn pike!!!

Heck no, but if we had it would have been a lot bigger then a couple of pounds. That one was 28lbs and 48 inches long. It would have won the contest though

I'm a bit confused about the whole ordeal. How does a phrase that means 'drive it fast and hard' begin an investigation? People are wierd. Although his giving it up so easily is odd (very).

Up in Northern Wisconsin there are TONS of "Snakes" like that. For every Pike 30" or more I have caught up there, I probably caught 50 of those small ones.
