ok i have a 1975 glastron 18ft speed boat it has the volvo penta b20 inboard motor and the penta rear drive and im confused on how the trim works on that style system so if any could please send me some links on how the trim works for the boat

Really need either a model number or better yet a picture of your drive and transom shield.
I doubt you have trim, as most VP of that year only had a mechanical lift for lifting the drive for trailering.
I can link you to a manual with the wiring diagram after we determine what you have.
