I'm thinking about having my prop drilled with vent holes when I have it cupped on friday. What are your opinions on the vent holes in props. Boat is for ski'ing and playing. Thanks

I believe that vent holes are for outboards not I/O's. The only time I saw a vented prop tried on an I/O it just cavitated and blew out.

Would the boat run ok without the prop on it? The only reason I am asking, is because I have talked to about 10 prop shops and noone has said that there would be any negitives only positives. But that's why I'm asking on here. Thanks

There are props that are drilled, Turning Point being one of them, I have Turning Point prop on my boat and have no problems with it at all, as long as the holes are drilled in the right place and the right size there should be nothing but good.

Start out with small holes. Hard to make the holes smaller if ya need to. I know venting the prop made a world of difference on my bass boat.
