iBoats pricing is very competitive and their service rivals the local mom & pop shop.

Iboats is a great place for one stop shopping. Ebay also has some good online dealers/stores. For local purchase's I use boatersworld. Between these 3, I jsut rigged my new boat and trailer to perfection at a considerable savings.

Just yesterday I needed some odd parts, 10mm Pem ball spring mounting brackets. Iboats has em, around 6 bucks. West Marine? 13 bucks and limited in configurations. Just an example. Got some other stuff as well. Placed the order at lunch time and it will be here tomorrow.

Like any shopping, look around. If you can google, you can do your homework, but the iboats store is definitely one of the first places I look.

iboats store is good but if they ship from two different warehouses then you get charged shipping from both.

+1
And if you happen to be anywhere near Southeast Wisconsin, I highly recomend a stop at their brick and mortar store, Kendor Marine on Ryan Road in Franklin. A great place to just wander around. But it can be hard on the wallet, you'll find yourself buying things you never knew you needed. 40,000 square feet of boat part heaven.

Great lakes skipper sells a lot of junk so be for warned!

Don't really like a company that ships damaged goods that they tried to fix and then want to blame UPS.

Sure they sent me another damaged item to replace it and then told me to hang on to the first so they can make a UPS claim.

They don't return emails I send to them about if they want it back or should I toss it.

Horrible customer service.

I'm much, much happier with iboats.

Uhm, that is incorrect. Anyway, in my opinion the shipping charges were higher than other places that I have ordered from. Just my experience with regards to online shopping.

I like looking locally for things first though.

Where are you at?

I really found the opposite.

Hi, I'm in Arizona. Some of the parts came from Texas.

Ahhh. AZ camper guy

I think it's like anything you have to do some research- some items cost more to ship and sometimes if you get something else it then pays.

Factor in local taxes too.

I personally haven't found a lot of the items I wanted locally and there's marine store all around. Most just don't carry items I wanted or the one I wanted.

Like when replacing the deck plate in my splash well, no one local has a clear lid Iboats did. Sure I could have bought a usable product locally but why when for the same money I can have one in a couple days.
