Just purchased a Carver 3607. At low RPM the exhaust noise is very loud, can anything be done? Also the lenses on the portlights are broken from being overtightened, where can I find replacements.

Re: 36 Carver Need Help

Hi,

I have an '82 3607 and I wonder about the same thing. While my port lights are not broken, being plexiglass, I must assume that one will crack and they will age cloud. I am looking through the net based catalogues for replacments. Many components on our Carver are "standard" to the industry so while the replacements found may not be exact, they will fit and function as the orriginal.

Is there a 3607 owner's group? I have a web site for our boat and would be happy to host an email list server for Carver 36 owners. What do you think?

Best,
Old Gringo

Sounds like there's not enough water flow, make sure the RPM's arent set too low.

Re: 36 Carver Need Help

Hello Old Gringo,
I am looking for parts for my 3207 aft cabin specifically the louvered vents which do not seem to be standard well not anymore. You mention shopping net based catalogues. Can you please suggest a couple as I have tried chandlerys and even went to Carver but not very helpful there. I even have the part number and still cant get parts. I look forward to your response.
