I Have A 89 Evinrude Xp 150 And When I Turn The Key Without Turning The Engine On My Temperature Signal Starts Flashing. When I Turn The Engine On It Keeps Flashing. I Am Watching The Engine At Idle And It Is Peeing A Steady Stream. Is It Possible That The Sensor Could Just Be Going Out? Are There Any Other Things I Should Look For? Last Question, Could Anyone Give Me An Ideal Where To Find This Sensor? Thanks In Advance For Any Advice.

on the cylinder head tan wire. peeing does not mean the tstats are opening anc cooling the motor. but, it sounds like you either have a bad sensor, or a short in the circuit.

The temperature alarm is constant. The intermittent alarms are related to the VRO system.
