Re: Warning Alarm
DO these malfunction alot.
Only when something fails.
3 things can cause the alarm to stay on. Low oil pressure, high temperature, and low gear lube in the reservoir.
The alarm sensors arre seperate switches from the gauge senders, so don't confuse the 2.
First check the oil in the reservoir. If it's full, disconnect one of the wires and see if the alarm stops. If it does, you have a defective gear lube alarm switch.
Do the same theing with the temp and oil pressure switch.
If you go up to the Adults only sticky at the top of this forum, there is a link where you can download the OEM service manuals. You need manual #26. It will show you where the switchs are located.
