I bought a rebuild kit for my 1995 rude 88hp.My ? is,the kit had a brownish/tan rubber gasket type thing that has about 6 cutout holes in it,when i took my old pump apart it did not have this part in it.Do i need to use this piece?
Since i found out my motor is a 1987 and not a 1995,and i bought a 95 fuel pump rebuild kit.Is anything different on these kits?I saw that the 87 kit came with a few more parts,will this matter,should i get a 87 kit and redo again?
