96 VP 4.3L V6 Slight Overheat

Hi folks, hoping someone can give me a quick diagnosis, I have a 1996 VP V6 Vortec motor and I noticed today when I was running it the motor seems to get hot, like 175 or so, risers and manis are normal, maybe a hair colder than normal but that could just be the temp of the hose water. Anyway normally it runs around 150. Good flow out of the drive when on a muff, so my first though was a the motor water pump going out. I also noticed that when I drained everything the motor did not have a ton of water in it like normal and the manifolds had plenty of water to drain. any ideas.

First thing to check is the impeller. If it's over 2 years old, it's due. Could also be a thermostat if the manfolds are ok.

Not much info. Salt water? How old are the manis, risers, thermo, impeller?
Have you had it out on the water recently? Just on muffs?

Thermostat and impeller both check out fine.

How did you check them? Are you familiar with the proper testing methods of each, or did they just "Look" ok to an untrained eye?

When was the Impeller last Changed,..??

Impeller, manifolds and risers all changed last year, Raw water cooled by the way. All fresh water use as well.
