Could not open the Gas Cap.....Need Help..

I just bought a 95 Ranger Cherokee aluminum boat couple days ago; we were getting it ready to go fishing this weekend; but to our surprise we could not open the gas cap and we don't know how. Need HELP bad. TIA

If it's one of those flipper caps it mignt just take a 5yr old to figure it out.

90% of them unscrew, some have 2 small holes in them for a "deck key" but still unscrew.

I have one of them 10% flipper style, spring loaded has a little thumb release button under the rear lip of the cap. It's one of them fancy ones.

a70eliminator, thank you. The tip of the thumb release broke off, the reason why we didn't see it. Again, thanks everyone for quick response.
