Once in a while I do nationwide searches looking for fiberglass rolls for cheap, and found this in Baltimore today, 400-500lbs of 9oz cloth

http://baltimore.craigslist.org/boa/1092330878.html

He is asking $300, but I'm sure he will take $200. Easily worth $3K if you sell it by the yard.

:( Too bad I live too far away.. 14hrs round trip just isn't in me.

If anyone does buy it, I could use some myself ;)

4-500 lb's of 9 oz cloth? Whew, that'd be a lifetime supply of cloth. You'd need a forklift to load it. Too bad someone cannot take advantage of it. You could wrap your house in it. The resin would probably bankrupt you to use the whole roll!

Sounds like the roll of mat I bought from a guy off craigslist for cheap ( He had 2 of them! ) Got the whole roll for 50 bucks...I'll never use it all. It didn't weigh 400 lbs though...thank god! It's gotta go a good hundred or so though.

There's been a lot of cloth in rolls popping up cheap, all in the NJ/PA/DE/MD areas, I got one roll of heavy woven cloth for cheap at a local flea market, the guy had several. It was labeled as Fire Stop cloth. Its not treated that I can tell and I've used it on several projects with no problems. I also bought a huge box of random cut pieces on CL, about 150lbs, for $20, and another 80 yd roll of 6oz mat for $50. Not to mention a 20 gallon drum of sealed poly resin for $20.
There has been a rash of boat builders going out of business in the area as well as other industries that use fiberglass supplies, I suppose a good bit of it is coming from bankruptcy auctions, the rest is probably some employee giving himself a bonus.
