well the weekend is getting close and about time to get to work. wondering if i should build in a livewell, or go with the removable cooler ideal. ill throw some pics down....i want the boat to be mainly a bass/walleye machine but i live near the erie canal and finger lakes in NY so maybe a cruiser some days. just wondering what most poeple do. and if so where to find the right stuff.

this pic is what it looked like last aug...now its gutted. gonna put the consoles back almost the same (shave 5 inches off each one) and make the front deck a casting one(close up cutout)

My vote is for the removable one. It keeps things flexible.

I have an 18-ft SS, and use a cooler all the time.

I like the cooler idea as well.

I will be following this thread closely...have the same boat 16'SS and am tinkering with the same ideas...or getting an 18 footer.:D

I've been working on mine this weekend, mostly Chrysler work out back, seal kits and water pump. My fish finder goes in this weekend. Mine is a 16' Supersport from 1976. I wish I could find a narrow cooler that could go in the back, regular coolers are too big and get in the way. Those walleye on Erie will hopefully be jumping in my boat this year, so I'll be interested to see what you come up with. Nice boat!
