primer question

Hello,
How long after priming the bare spots with zinc chromate can you wait
before you put epoxy primer on,also how long can the primer sit before
top coating.
Aluminum boat.

Depends on the weather....... as soon as it is dry (the drying time should be listed on the can)go for the next layer. High humidity, cold weather all slow the process. You can let primer sit for a LONG time before the next coat just make sure it is not covered with dust/dirt.

So your saying that I need to prime the boat right after I zinc it,or can I wait a couple of weeks or so?

No the zinc chromate is good protection for the aluminum. You have plenty of time between paints.
