Check with your local public or school library to see if they subscribe to the EBSCO Small Engine Repair Reference Center database. If they do check with them on how to access it from your home. There are 8 categories. Marine/boat engines, PWC's, ATV, motorcycles, generators, snow mobiles, tractors, and outdoor equipment.

While I do have a Seloc manual for my Mariner and a Clymer for my Evinrude, you can never have to much information available.

Most of the marine engine section covers older motors through the early 2000's. As an example. Mercury and Johnson/Evinrude goes from 1955 through 2003.

Enjoy

Well, it looks like the Austin Public Library makes it accessible to everyone, so there's no harm done, as far as I can see.

Well dang,

It looks like it doesn't work anymore. It wants login name and password.

Looks like the session has timed out again. I wonder in Austin Public Library would issue a card to a Canadian?

Just looked at their main web site the card is free if you are a resident of Texas $60 per year to all others. I would think that state taxes fund this library so it is more than fair. Would have loved to get a card for a library that had this service but where I live you are lucky to find a library at all.

Check out your local library. It turns out this is a common subscription service for schools and libraries. Looks like my local library in Hamilton, Ontario subscribes to the service so its free for me. I just applied for my library card.

Here is a site that lists public libraries in Nova Scotia and info on how to get a card.

Ahh! Turns out my library only subscribes to a portion of the EBSCO system. I can only view the online auto repair manual. No manuals for me. Bummer.

Thanks The Kid for the link, don't know how I missed it. Like wbeaton my library only offers automotive chiltons manuals. May have to get proactive and lobby for a data base subscription like the one offered on the Texas library site.
