Re: eBay Ripp off

They let you make another claim? My wife bought a car DVD Player off E-bay without looking at feedback first. After three weeks of waiting and no responses from the seller, we filed a complaint. Another 3 weeks go by and we get the item. It was broken, missing cables, and looked nothing like the picture. I tried to file another claim and E-bay told me I couldn't. Apparently their rule was only one claim per purchase. So there was nothing I could do. I setup the checking account link on PayPal so I couldn't get a refund. I found the weasel's phone number and just kept calling 5-6 times a day to drive him batty. It just got old after a while, but it was fun.

The refund came thru my credit card compamy. They in turn did a charge back to paypal. We agreed that pay pal was jerking me around so the card company took them to task. The only response I've had from paypal was that there was a charge back and there was no action requiured on my part.
Works for me !~!~~! :D:D:D

Sounds like the seller might have realized you aren't going to lay down dead, so he bought/stole/borrowed an outboard somewhere and sent it to you, just to shut you up....

that was my thoughts too...

same happened to me. sold something to a guy he got it and requested money back and paypal instantly gave it back. I lost my stuff and the money. Here is another thing that is crappy. I sold an xbox on ebay. By UPS rules the reciver can get the tracking number from you and change the delivery address for free basically no questions asked. The seller/sender would have to pay for this. I lost that stuff too. I havent didnt anything with ebay anymore since. Plus they charge too much now as paypal does too now.

Re: eBay Ripp off

I heard a story of a guy who sold some wheels and tires on ebay through paypal and to save the buyer on shipping, he agreed to meet the buyer half way and personally deliver the goods. A week later the scumbag buyer tells paypal that items never arrived and he wants a refund. Paypal asks seller to provide proof of delivery confirmation and when he told them that he had none because he personally delivered them, they took the money out of his account and gave it back to the scumbag. Be careful with paypal.

Yep...it's a gamble with Paypal. I've done business with them for years and no beefs, but recently sold my daughters old Apple laptop on Ebay to a scumbag buyer. He apparently ran the computer for eight or nine days, screwed it up and then asked for a chargeback/refund through his credit card company. Paypal made the refund, put me in the negative and has asked the scumbag to send the laptop back to me...yeah, right, I'm sure it will happen...or it will come back in pieces or ruined. Can you tell that I'm an optimist...not! This will be my last time selling anything on Ebay. And I'm looking for an alternative to Paypal. There's two sides to every coin...glad you got your problem resolved Murph.
