1960 evinrude 40 hp lark 2

i have a 1960 40 hp lark 2 electric start, someone needed my gas tank more than i did. can anyone tell me what size fuel line does it take? i have found 3/8 inch line with different size connectores. any body tell me what set up works for this motor? i have also lost the grounding screw that goes through the pigtail and into the motor any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

You can buy the fuel line with bulb and connectors at both ends at any wal mart, auto stores, etc. They are the same for all johnson/evinrudes for 40 years or so... they're not expensive either... $20-$30...

thank you they have different size gas lines and connectors, didnt know if this would make a difference? what model or size spark plugs does this engine take and the gap if you know? thanks

5/16" gas hose. Champion J4C spark plugs at .030" They'll try to sell you J6C plugs. They'll work, but they are a heat range hotter than the J4

and you need the connectors for the Johnson/Evinrude.

All I see is 3/8" gas hose assemblies. I only checked walmart and couple other places though. I think you may have to make your own 5/16" gas hose or order online.
