Fuel and Oil mixture

Just bought a 89 Ranger first Boat, it has a 89 Mariner 135 hp on it, The book said mix 50 t0 1 the guy i bought it from said he was mixing it 100 to 1 plus i noticed he had oil in the resvoir, for injection it runs great at idle it has like smoke around engine cover but when running no smoke. im thinking to rich with oil at idle speed any ideas?

A lot of em smoke it up some at the dock. Then clear out underway.

I'd assume the 100:1 is insurance should the automatic oil injection fail.

Do what you like.

It just sounds like his preference he was sharing with you.

Generally speaking 50:1 would be correct without oil injection.

0:1 with injection.

Thinks for the info I think ill try 50-1 seems like what most people use
