WOW! Thanks Legoman, did you take the boat off the trailer to work on trailer or boat? Not sure I'd be comfortable crawling under it to do anything. I can just see it falling.
Weather here is still not great for boat repair, so this will give me time to collect jacks and supplies before I giveit a whirl.
Hey Guys, really appreciate all the help, have followed Oop's adventure of his boat fun and the Scarab rebuild as well. Lots and Lots of great info on this site. The more I read and learn, am wondering if I wouldn't be better off striping and rebuilding one from scratch. (that's what I've always wanted to do before I found this one. The engine, a cobra 4.3 is in great shape, as are the helm and other parts of the ship). Won't really decide until I get into her more. Once again, thanks for all the help. Kaye
