Hi All;

rebuilding my first Holley 4150 and the needle seat assembly has me stuck. To help identify, the needle seat sits on top of both fuel bowls.

I removed the securing outer nut and the 2 small screws on the baffle plate but the needle seat does not easily come out and I do not want to force it.

Could someone please briefly describe the proper removal of the needle seat?

Thanks in advance.

Wrong part of the forum. This is the offbreed outboard section. Try the Inboard/Outboard section with your question. Carbs discussed here have just one hole and they are sidedraft carbs for little 2-stroke tiddlers.

You already removed the jamb nut now all you have to do is thread the complete needle and seat out as a unit, or actually I should say thread it in, yes screw it in as if you were tightening it then it will eventualy drop out of the bowl, this is elementary to rebuilding a holley you should get a book if you have to ask how to remove the needle and seat, you do have to remove the float assy before you can remove the need and seat.
