I read the main rules and did not see if we are allowed to mention a outboard we have for sale in the brand specific forums?? It says no selling but it seems to be more toward I can't come in here with my business and try to sell. So my question is can you sell your personal engine in here or any other part of the forum? I want to make sure I don't break any rules and I didn't see a for sale forum.

Nope. No selling anything. The owners of the site don't want anything to come back to bite them.

Re: WHY SO MUCH SHAFT SHOWING

I have a 1988 johnson 175hp. I was putting on a lower pitch prop to day and when the prop in all the way on it is about 3" away from the lower case. You can 3" of shaft is this correct, or is their something missing. I was running a 13 1/2 in 22 pitch. And i'am going to a 14" d 17 pitch for water sking does that sound right. I boat in utah at around 65oo feet

Go to the "Mercruiser, OMC, Volvo & other I/O & Inboard Engines & Outdrives" forum at http://forums.iboats.com/forumdisplay.php?f=21

Read Don S's sticky

Then

Click on the "Create New Post" button:- . . . .

Enter a meaningful title and then ask your question.
