Technically that is New York Harbor, not the Hudson. It is all salt water and tides there.

Is this a good thing or a lost wale. I would hate to see another of our planets larger than life creatures die. Ive seen them up here and its amazing there size.

the coast guard protected it, and after it surveyed the scenery it left. Ive read the strippers are due in now thru June to spawn, so maybe it was feeding? f
