1976 115hp Mercury- No spark! Please help..

Just bought a boat, really want to take the kids out on the lake this Easter weekend but engine not firing. Everything seems fine expect Im not getting any spark to start. Please help save our Easter plans!! Thank you.

with key switch on 1st position should be voltage on white and red terminal on 4 terminal side of switchbox.on 3 terminalside with switch in same pos.take jumper and go between brown and white termi9nal i think....maybe someone can back me up on that,anyway just arc the jumper and if you hear a spark from inside the cap,distributor housing is bad i'm afraid....sorry

Thanks fellas, Coil was bad. Took it out on the water and wont even reach 5mph. Everything is fine except for some reason, Im not getting any prop power. Any ideas?
