1987 70hp Merc LU Linkage

Hello. Thought I would start a new thread.
I am having a difficult time removing my LU. I have all of the seable bolts removed, it will not budge. I am not quite sure how to disconnect the linkage from the LU, or am I not pulling hard enough? Just seems like I am missing something... It is the front of the unit where I can tell it is not coming loose.

Read a few prior posts-it seems you just have to yank it pretty hard to disconnect it from the drive shaft.
I'm going out back to give it a try.

Got it off by tilting motor down and standing on it.

Hope to get her out this weekend and check out if the carb rebuild solved my engine dying problem.
