Boat Sock

the other day I saw a boat anchored in a river and he had 2 sock like devices tied to the rear of his boat, I guess to keep the boat in more of a straight line.Anyone have an ideal where to get them, how to make them and what they are called. thanks in advance

drift anchors, for controlling drift in a current, you can buy them most anywhere they sell marine items.

drift socks or sea anchors, the are the same thing.
