model# v4ml-106
serial# c419781

I cant find these numbers on any site that will tell me the year of the motor. Could it be a different mounting plate than the original?
I know it is a 80hp Evinrude.

Thanks in advance.

You were close. It's a 90 HP Johnson, according to the tag
V4M-10 90 1964

Look for a round metal plug on the powerhead. It may have the model number.

NOt so fast, I came up with a 1964 90HP Canadian Johnson Meteor long shaft with model # V4ML-10S which is the closest to the numbers given. There are several references to similar 1964 model numbers here in the forum; search "V4ML-10*"

It is -106 not S. And the motor cover says Evinrude Starflite VIII, and it has a big 80 on the front.

Maybe it is outboardzilla, made from parts of different motors from the abyss....LOL.

And thank you all for quick replies.
